Rotorua Winter Forest Festival announced to replace Winter MTB Series
The magic of Rotorua’s forest in the colder months will be celebrated in 2019 with the launch of a new event – The Winter Forest Festival on 3-4 August.
Featuring a Winter Mountain Bike Classic and We Run the Forest, kids activities, an expo, food and live music (with more events to be added soon), the Festival will replace the current Winter Mountain Bike Series which is in its 17th year.
We have been dreaming of this event for 2 years, and today it is born.
Coming to the CBD of Rotorua Autumn 2019, the Eastern Traverse is Rotorua's only point to point mountain biking event.
For some this is a race but for everyone else this is a MTB journey of epic proportions of fun, flow and thrills. As the name suggest the course will leave Rotorua's CBD and traverse the lake as the riders head east into world renown Whakarewarewa mountain bike park to travel through some of NZ's best course country mountain bike trails before.
Further details to follow in June.

NDURO EVENTS announced today that the 2018 Rotorua 8 hour scheduled to take place from February 3rd, 2018 has been postponed until 17 November 2018. All participants who are currently entered will have their entries held for the new date. If you wish to have a refund, Please email us here to organise a refund.
This postponement has come due to a significant lack of entries due to date of the event clashing with household commitments around Christmas and back to work/school period.
Event Director Tim Farmer says " I am saddened we had to make this call. After surveying a potion of our regular participants we have identified that this is a tough time for many to put a team of riders together for the event." Tim says Don't worry, the event is definitely back in November so it will allow you more time to plan your super hero or villain outfit for the event.
