Jolanda Neff enters the Whaka100
The Whaka100 has long been touted as one of the Southern Hemisphere’s toughest mountain bike marathons. The 105km course takes in the world class mountain bike trails of Rotorua.
Elite World Mountain Bike Champion, Jolanda Neff, will be the favourite in the women’s field of the 12th edition of this 105km race. The 25 year old Swiss athlete is one of the super stars of cross country mountain biking.
Race Director, Tim Farmer, says the event team is more than excited to have Neff on the start list. “This is great for the event but even more amazing for the fans of Neff who will get to see her race in person.”
Farmer says there is a continuous increase in International participants from all parts of the globe, in particular from the European nation.
Entries are coming in from all around the world with 11 countries represented. While New Zealand has the largest representation of riders, Australia, New Caledonia and Singapore top the list from offshore
Farmer says the event is not just about the grueling 105km event. “We cater for all levels of rider with events ranging from 5.5km, 25km and 50km”
The Lezyne Summer Cup course has been released.
Based at the end of long Mile Road at the Redwoods Rotorua, the course has a little bit of something for all riders.
Regardless if you have entered the 15,25 or 40km courses there will be endless flow, a few wahoos and a couple of fist pump moments on the famous hero dirt of the Rotorua trail network.

NDURO EVENTS announced today that the 2018 Rotorua 8 hour scheduled to take place from February 3rd, 2018 has been postponed until 17 November 2018. All participants who are currently entered will have their entries held for the new date. If you wish to have a refund, Please email us here to organise a refund.
This postponement has come due to a significant lack of entries due to date of the event clashing with household commitments around Christmas and back to work/school period.
Event Director Tim Farmer says " I am saddened we had to make this call. After surveying a potion of our regular participants we have identified that this is a tough time for many to put a team of riders together for the event." Tim says Don't worry, the event is definitely back in November so it will allow you more time to plan your super hero or villain outfit for the event.
